Check Out the New 2010 Mazda Miata

Since 1989, the Mazda MX-5 Miata has been one of the most popular compact cars in its class. Zippy and fun to drive, the Miata has been known for its precise handling, sharp features, and grin-inducing acceleration. The roadster versions of the MX-5 are especially crowd-pleasing; with the wind in your hair, you can experience the aural delights of every throttle input and downshift coming from the sprightly 2.0 liter 4-cylinder. While not particularly powerful or intimidating at 167 horsepower, the 2.0 liter normally aspirated 4-cylinder found in the 2010 Miata MX-5 is able to push the 3,000 pound car from 0-60 miles per hour in about 7 and a half seconds, making it comparable to cars such as the 2010 VW Golf or the Mini Cooper. This isn’t meant to be a race car, mind you; the new “NC” model of the mazda mx-5 miata was designed to be a car that’s fun to drive on winding mountain roads. In that environment, it certainly impresses: With a reline RPM of 7200 RPM, it’s a delight to wheel through the curves, listening to the motor peak out with a strong but delightful exhaust note. Torque is a little bit on the low side at 140 foot-pounds, making passing on the highway decidedly more difficult than what you might expect for a car its size. Passing effectively generally requires you to rev the engine up to a high RPM, which is certainly part of the appeal of the MX-5 in the first place. Those looking for fuel economy will find that the 2010 Mazda Miata MX-5 is comparable to most cars in its class: It’s rated at 22 mpg city, and 28 mpg highway. It’s certainly not a car made for your commute, but that’s probably not why you bought it, is it?

Rather than purchasing your new Mazda online or on a website like Craigslist or some other classified site, it is actually suggested to buy it from a Mazda dealer. When you purchase from a dealer you have many advantages which come along with the new Mazda. First off, when you purchase a Sydney Mazda you could be assured that this car would forever be taken care of as long as it is under warranty. This means that if you ever have any problems you could take it into the Mazda dealer or Mazda service to get it fixed. This is a lot better than taking it to a non-Mazda service center since you would be covered under your warranty. If you do need to pay anything, it’ll be much less expensive than if you have gone to a non Mazda dealer! Also, when you purchase a new car from Sydney Mazda you could really rest assured that it is a NEW Mazda and not a used one. It is never been driven off the lot, besides for a demo drive, and it has never been pre owned unless it’s stated as so on the sticker. Finally, when you purchase from a Mazda dealer, you can even get the new Mazda for cheaper than you will get anywhere else. You can get financing choices or leasing alternatives instead of purchasing the car outright. Bravo to you if you do have $15,000 to put on a car, but many individuals would instead have another monthly option available to them, and that’s where the dealer comes into play! You simply would sign up for X amount of years for the car if you are leasing or financing it and pay the car payment once a month. The financing option is usually a better way to go as the price fluctuation ends up charging you less in the end. All the cars mentioned above can be financed at Sydney Mazda! Be sure you ask them about the Mazda service to make sure you are under warranty with the car you get and ask how long the Mazda service lasts for and what it covers!

New Mazda MX-5 at British International Motor Show

The “base” Sport package includes 18-inch wheels, performance tires, cruise control, air-conditioning, full power accessories, a leather-wrapped sifter and steering wheel, a 6-speaker CD stereo system, and an auxiliary audio jack. The premium, high-performance R3 trim includes much, but not all, of what is in the GT trim. For instance, the key less ignition and entry, Bluetooth connectivity, xenon headlights, and the audio system, are there. The R3 package brings 19-inch wheels, a racing-tuned suspension, Recaro front sport seats, a restyled front bumper, and a rear wing spoiler. Under the hood of the rear-wheel-drive Mazda RX-8, is the 1.3L rotary engine. Paired with the 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle sifters, the engine produces 212 horsepower and relines at 7,500 rpm. Both setups generate a limited 152 pound-feet of torque. Most tests put the RX-8 with the manual transmission at the 7-second range for 0-60 mph times. The RX-8 is the only rotary-powered car on the planet, and that definitely increases the excitement level, at least temporarily. However, with the rotary power comes that low-end torque, which makes the vehicle underwhelming for everyday use. The other problem is that the high-revving nature of the engine makes the car an awful fuel performer even compared to other sports car. The mileage ratings are up there in the league of 4,000+ pound SUVs, and that is just unacceptable. While we hope that Mazda can innovate Wankel’s engine in a way that can make it palatable to modern drivers, our hunch is that this is just an outdated technology. The 2010 Mazda RX-8 may be the right sports car for some people, especially those who simply have an affinity for the rotary engine Mazda. Considering price starts at about $25,000, most consumers will be better off waiting for the RX-8 to be more refined. For those considering a Mazda RX-8, they may also want to experience the Mazda MX-5 Miata, the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, the Nissan 370Z, and the Mitsubishi Eclipse for comparison.

Pricing For 2007 Mazda MX-5 Hard Top Out

Pricing For 2007 Mazda MX-5 Hard Top Out The Mazda MX-5 is a popular vehicle in the auto market. It is also marketed and known as the Mazda MX-5 Miata in the area of North America. The very first Mazda MX-5 was shown off during the Chicago Auto Show which was held on the 10th day of February in the year 1989. Perhaps what has made this vehicle much known is the fact that parts for this vehicle are easy to find. And for the popular Mazda MX-5 hardtop, the attached price tag says $24,945. It would soon be available this coming September. However, if you would like to own the soft top version of this sports car, you can purchase it for only $23,495. Both come as a Mazda MX-5 PRHT. February 2007 Sales For Mazda Down By One Percent From Last Year Car makers are now starting to post their sales figures for the moth of February. In connection with this, the Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) recently released their sales figures for the month of February this year. Their total sales figure for the month of February for trucks and cars is 22,067 units. This is some 6.4 percent lower than last year’s sales figure which amounts to 23,580 vehicles. The car maker has sold 41,332 units for this year until February. This is a marginal decrease from last year’s 41,757 units. The decrease in the sales figures by the Asian car manufacturer is due to poor sales of cars and trucks. As a matter of fact, the only model which sold higher this year over February of last year is the Mazda 3 vehicle. For February of this year, the car manufacturer sold 8,667 units of the Mazda 3. This is a 15 percent increase over last year’s sales figure for the said model. Even the fancy Mazda MX-5 Miata did not live up to its billing for February. Mazda managed to sell 1,107 units of the Miata, which is down by 14.5 percent from February 2006 sales figure for the model. The Mazda 5 and the Mazda 6 also showed a decrease in terms of sale compared to February of last year. The Mazda 5 showed a slip of 26.7 percent while the Mazda 6 slipped by 18.5 percent. The biggest slip in the 11 vehicle lineup of Mazda is the MPV. That showed a decrease of 99.9 percent.

A very poor performance indeed and such a feat cannot be even compared to the high performance level of Volvo belts. Another model that did poorly in terms of sale is the Mazda Tribute. Last year, Mazda sold 3,122 units of the model in February. This year though, Mazda only managed to sell 402 units of the vehicle. Following the Mazda MPV, the Tribute is the second worst performer in the lineup with a decrease of 87.1 percent. Aside from the Mazda5, good news also comes from the sales figure of the new vehicles introduced just recently by Mazda in the market. The CX-7 showed strong sales figures; Mazda sold 2,952 of this model for the month of February. Another new release which showed strong acceptance from car buyers is the CX-9. Mazda sold 1,168 units of this model. The year-to-date figure for the CX-7 has reached 5,719 for the first two months of the year. Meanwhile, the year-to-date figure for the CX-9 has now reach 1,250 units. With the help of these two models, Mazda may be on its way to increasing their sales figure for the succeeding month when compared to last year’s performance in the market. Mazda Invades the Country with its Zoom-Zoom Event With the success of the previously held Zoom-Zoom Live Tour, Mazda North American Operations is again taking its valued enthusiasts to an enjoyable tour across the country. The tour will make use of Mazda vehicles to invade different cities in the country. Zoom-Zoom Live Tour is one of the most exciting driving event around the globe. Some of the vehicles that will be featured in said tour are CX-7, MX-5 Miata and all-new Mazda speed 6. Mazda CX-7 is a midsize crossover SUV that was introduced at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show. It replaced Mazda Tribute. Prizes, foods and fun are expected to overwhelm the event. The MX-5 Miata PRHT This Year One of Mazda’s top selling cars, the MX-5 has been reinventing itself since then. Before, it borrowed from the big RX-8 the very visible fenders as well as the very aggressive headlights. And for this year, it borrowed its previous cloth roof for a sleek, retractable hardtop.

One of the latest car’s technological options is the premium audio setup that is composed of a Bose 7-speaker sound system with Audio pilot noise compensation technology. This technology is engineered to adjust the acoustic output level according to the background noise level. The cabin-mounted microphone is used to monitor audio output. This output then compares to the music signal, making alterations for noise lessening if necessary. The Audio pilot seems not to affect audio output but the built-in roof-activated sound adjustment ensures that open-air drivers have a better chance of hearing their tunes. The interior of the hardtop MX-5 Grand Touring is at the same time stylish, sporty, and protected. It has ocher plastic panels with “saddle tan” leather seats. Across the dash is a very stylish and well polished black material. The legroom is sufficient for those over 6-feet tall, not all 2007 MX-5 features are advantageous to taller ones. When the driver’s seat is fully back, the rear view mirror yields difficulty in forward visibility because it takes up nearly a quarter of forward visibility. Another thing is that the clutch take-up is very high on the manual-transmission model. So tall people will find their left knee wedged between the left door’s handrail and the steering wheel before the clutch engages. But despite these disadvantages, whether the roof is up or down, the PRHT definitely stands out among its rivals because of its striking looks. As the hardtop folds away, the roof breaks into three panels. The latest Miata has a basic single-disc CD player – a very basic one but still a quality Mazda Miata part. The optional Sirius Satellite radio, which is a single-line monochrome LCD head unit display, allows drivers to use a vertically mounted toggle switch that requires an up-and-down movement instead of a more typical left-and-right action. The latest Miasma’s 5 cubic feet of trunk space gives the car an accessible trunk with as much room and access with the roof up as with it down. Under the hood are selections of engines like 2.0-liter, in-line four-cylinder mill which does not boost performance but assures cool feeling. The Miasma’s weight advantage causes the car’s quality performance. With a curb weight of 2,573 pounds, the MX-5 is nearly 300 pounds lighter than the Solstice, even with the marginal weight of 70 pounds for the hardtop.
